我能理解为什么A对，但D为什么错呢？理解成now drawing....做结果状语从句不可以么？——N从过去到现积累了大量知识...，然后导致今天的这个结论，没什么不通呀~求NN指教~~

我觉这是因为：如果原句的逻辑意思没有错误，就不要改变原句的意思，D的话把主次变了，毕竟状语从句跟主句谓语相比的话还是次要的，所以，既然有比它好的答案，而且没有改变原句的逻辑意思，就不选这个多此一举的选项啦
我不是牛＝＝！大家共同学习，如果不对的话大家探讨一下啦～

一上来我就having done直接把A扔了~~然后D就怎么看怎么顺眼。。。哎~估计考试考这类题还得错~~~

而且，这个题还有一个提示就是now，你想如果是D的话，主句动词是完成时，而状语一开头就是now，明显不太合逻辑嘛，我之前也错过这题，因为想到很多人解释having done 不能做状语，但是发现其实可以的，而且好像还很make sense！

对于DE，原句划线部分后面的句子将变为now drawing solid... 对于此处的drawing首先，我们不能将其理解为伴随动作，因为DE选项中，都提到了have amassed这一现在完成时结构，而now drawing与该现在完成时有明显的时间GAP，故不可能时同一时间层面上的动作伴随。其次，drawing也不可能是结果状语，因为若是结果状语，其“逻辑主语”（其实是不存在逻辑主语的），应是主句整个句子，但很明显drawing这个词是由主句主语neuroscientists发出的，而不是主句整个句子，故也不对。最后，语法上只剩下做定语修饰前面紧邻名词adulthood的可能了。但是明显，这么理解从逻辑上肯定是不通的。故在DE选项中drawing用法没有一个是正确的。所以DE选项不对。

1) it should apply most nearly to the subject of the preceding clause ; and, even more importantly,
2) it should have one of the following RELATIONSHIPS to that clause:
* a direct and inevitable， immediate consequence
* simultaneous, but lower-priority, action

这个now drawing不是immediate consquence或者inevitable consequence,更加不是同时发生的事情

ing型的独主只有2种情况能够使用:
1) it should apply most nearly to the subject of the preceding clause ; and, even more importantly,
2) it should have one of the following RELATIONSHIPS to that clause:
* a direct and inevitable， immediate consequence
* simultaneous, but lower-priority, action

这个now drawing不是immediate consquence或者inevitable consequence,更加不是同时发生的事情
