标题: 987-396够对称还是错。。
1. In recent years cattle breedershave increasingly used crossbreeding, in part that their steers shouldacquire certain characteristics and partly because crossbreeding is said toprovide hybrid vigor.
(A) in part thattheir steers should acquire certain characteristics
(B) in part forthe acquisition of certain characteristics in their steers
(C) partly becauseof their steers acquiring certain characteristics
(D) partly becausecertain characteristics should be acquired by their steers（E）
(E) partly toacquire certain characteristics in their steers

我选了D。。就是因为够对称= =为什么还是错呢。。

我感觉to acquire是表示breeders这么做的目的。如果选D，感觉意思上好牵强，should感觉不像是breeders主动要达到这个目的而是被要求了。

一般来说在GMAT语法中，如果原句没有明显的逻辑错误，而是因为语法错误需要选择其他选项时，逻辑意思最好不变。A选项中in part that的意思并不是部分因为，而是一个递进的意思，衔接前面的use ，说明使用的用途。所以C D就错在建立了一个因果关系（because, because of），之后根据平行结构，选出E, 要和and 和的partly平行，但没有任何理论根据说平行结构后面是因果关系前面就一定要是！特别注意这一点，在GMAT中做到高分题时经常会出现这一些陷阱，让你觉得题目很简单，一看就选，高分题更多考察的是逻辑意思和句意而不是绝对语法错误，lz做题需要小心一点

我选了D。。就是因为够对称= =为什么还是错呢。。

D的主要问题是它用了被动语态，读起来非常awkward。这里被动完全没有必要（GMAT中尽可能使用主动语态），而且字数确实比E多很多啊。
