Congress is debating a bill requiring certain employers provide workers with unpaid leave so as to care for sick or newbom children.
(A) provide workers with unpaid leave so as to
(B) to provide workers with unpaid leave so as to
(C) provide workers with unpaid leave in order that they
(D) to provide workers with unpaid leave so that they can
(E) provide workers with unpaid leave and
x give/grant/provide y sth so that it can do ~~
x give/grant/provide y sth in order that it can do ~~
1,so that和in order that后面不会有指代的不同,表目的时,in order that 和 so that意思是一样的,只是in order that更加正式。 in order that只是表目的,所以一般须加情态词,不加in order that就是unidiomatic。
