51. A new study suggests that theconversationalpaceof everyday life may be so briskit hampers theability of some children for distinguishing discrete sounds andwords and,the result is, to makesense of speech. (A) it hampers theability of some children for distinguishing discrete sounds and words and, theresult is, to make (B) that it hampersthe ability of some children to distinguish discrete sounds and words and, as aresult, to make (C) that it hampersthe ability of some children to distinguish discrete sounds and words and, theresult of this, they are unable to make (D) that it hampersthe ability of some children to distinguish discrete sounds and words, and results in not making (E) as to hamperthe ability of some children for distinguishing discrete sounds and words, resulting in being unable to make
我选的是D,OG上面说and results in not making这句话的中心变了,而且对于正确的B,总感觉如果把主干剥离出来那不就是 theconversationalpace may be so brisk that it hampers the abilityto distinguish discrete sounds and words and to make sense of speech.
66.The 32 species that make up the dolphin family are closely related to whales and in fact include the animal known as the killer whale, which can grow to be 30 feet long and is famous for its aggressive hunting pods. (A)include the animal known as the killer whale, which can grow to be 30 feet long and is (B)include the animal known as the killer whale, growing as big as 30 feet long and (C)include the animal known as the killer whale, growing up to 30 feet long and being (D)includes the animal known as the killer whale, which can grow as big as 30 feet long and is (E)includes the animal known as the killer whale, which can grow to be 30 feet long and it is 答案:A 偶滴问题不是那些long 和big 什么的,就是想说答案A里那个can grow to be 30 feet long,干嘛要加那个be呢?
但是这个句子中as a result 的加入导致句子fragment或者其他错误,反而显得是必要的,因为只有先hamper ability of sb to distinguish discrete sounds and words才能呈现hamper。。。 to make sense of speech.
D:前半句是对滴,后面results in not making的主语就出现了混淆,是it 还是conversational pace of everyday life,或者楼主自己想象的是前面整个it hampersthe ability of some children to distinguish discrete sounds and words。
and 是一定要用的,因为要把to distinguish 和 to make 弄成平行,他们两个同享前面的hampers。 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- “ 我选的是D,OG 上面说and results in not making这句话的中心变了,而且对于正确的B,总感觉如果把主干剥离出来那不就是 the conversational pace may be so brisk that it hampers the ability to distinguish discrete sounds and words and to make sense of speech. ”
对于B,把平行拆开来就是 it hampers the ability to... and (it hampers the ability) to make...
变成了it hampers..., and (it) results 这里的it指代the conversational pace, 问题是并不是the conversational pace本身results in not making sense of speech, 而是先hampers the ability从而导致not making sense of speech 到底什么导致了什么,有本质区别。
