首先，"since 1989" 和原句的"after the Berlin Wall had been demolished" 均是时间状语，故重复了，所以应该为when the Berlin Wall was demolished，修饰1989，排除A,B,E；

首先one of主谓一致排除ABE

然后，划线外明显时间提示词 Since 1989 从1989年语义上理解，C从1989……过去是（was）……不好

最后，读D 没有大毛病。

其实我说since和after一个意思不行，也是我自己做这个题的感觉的，并没有在哪个语法教材上看到这个说法。
但是他们在一起总觉得怪怪的，感觉有歧义。
你这个句子，这2年到底是从2010年开始算的两年，还是在2010之前的两年？？这after很容易让句子产生歧义啊。
