选D 我认同但是我想问问如果D选项改成would。。。。was...可以吗？

首先，要改也是改成would ,were 虚拟用were 不是was，其次，这里句子用的是predict ,也就是预测了，一般用将来时。没必要用虚拟。更没有相关暗示说要用虚拟。hope it helps

谢谢，但是那还是关于will vs would, OG12 139题：
The company announced that its profits declined
much less in the second quarter than analysts had
expected it to and its business will improve in the
second half of the year.
(A) had expected it to and its business will improve
(B) had expected and that its business would
improve
(C) expected it would and that it will improve its
business
(D) expected them to and its business would improve
(E) expected and that it will have improved its
business
这道题选B 也涉及到would 我想问这道题为什么就要用would呢？OG说：Th e sentence must also use would rather than will for the company’s uncertain business improvement in the future。关于虚拟语气和一般将来时，到底如何区分呢？

首先，要改也是改成would ,were 虚拟用were 不是was，其次，这里句子用的是predict ,也就是预测了，一般用将来时。没必要用虚拟。更没有相关暗示说要用虚拟。hope it helps

楼主可以看下主句的时态，122题主句时态是一般现在时，predicts，所以后面用will， 139题主句用declined, 所以后面用 would，因为是相当于过去的将来，不是相当于现在的将来。另外我不赞同这两句话里的would和 will是虚拟语气，虚拟预期是与现实相反的，如，if i were you. 因为我不可能是你，不管什么时候我都不可能是你，这里用虚拟语气，而122题和139题都是对未来的预期，而且是合理预期，不是明显荒谬的不可能实现的预期，怎么能说相反呢？
