正确答案为C。我的疑问在于B答案。

疑问一：prep解释说B的they无指代对象，这里they不能指代the human nervous system and a telephone system么。

疑问二：both必须和and连用么。both不能不能单独表示“都”这个意思么。比如举例说，James and Sandy both like apple。

1.在指代问题上，C很好的解决了不用指代也能说明白的问题，B的指代就一定有问题，这是这个考试的特点；要是一定要扣细一点，你说they指代的是A+B，那么就有人认为指代的是A或者B，这就是歧义啊
2. both当然能单独用，但后面不是有and，而是有and because,而前面也要表达because的意思，那当然是both because...and because的形式更好了
