答案应该是D： 简单的说，是为了避免歧义。 因为如果用used the information they had obtained to find evidence that would support，就有可能被人认为是在与suspected the police of having..... 平行。（当然，你可以认为是与taped her confidential ... ）但是GMAT 的语句是绝对不允许有二意性的！ 但是如果改为 of using ... 则可以完全避免这一点，别人读起来的时候可以一眼看出来，谁在与谁平行。简单，明了。 所以只能选D！作者: LMBE 时间: 2012-3-22 21:55
关键是"used the info"的逻辑主语。如果与suspected平行，则主语为she,那么逻辑不正确。如果用了of using和of having平行，则逻辑主语为police，逻辑正确。
