从PARALLEL的角度来讲，D肯定是对的。但是它后面跟着的“；none of the pregnancies was……”却让我很疑惑。这个句子整体是完整的，这里用分号隔开一个分句的两层意思是不是不可以？我觉得不可以？

你的说法有道理，相比于用逗号+and连接两个有关系的句子，用分号的确显得句子的联系性要弱一些，但是一来分号毕竟不是句号，分号还是能够表达句子的联系的，尽管显得不是很紧密；二来，语法答案的选择是优选，即5个里面选最好的，而不是填空，所以除了分号的一点或许的缺陷，D没有其他致命错误，而其他选项都有致命错误，所以答案只能是D

是啊。我觉得，无论在什么时候，ETS在SC这部分最重视都是parallel。。。
