标题: ones能否指代people?
people作“人民”讲，是可数名词复数 ones指代名词复数 但是我的笔记里记的是ones不能指代people。。。

求解

翻下manhattan的SC书，里面专门有内容介绍这个ones的指代，事实上他的范围很多的，别拘谨。否则GMAC会根据你的shortcuts专门设计trap的

最近梳理one的指代问题，还是太搞清楚，翻出了这道题。语法笔记的解释上有LZ说的那句话。


查了CD历史，没有太多关于one的指代探讨，有高人路过发表一下观点。

这道题，比较结构后半段要用that/those指代，另外people和fewer搭配

B选项用的是than than也可以指代的
few确实是用来修饰people  在这里我们不拘泥于某个题 着重探讨下这个语法点~

eg.  After walking by the chocolates so many times, Roger finally had to eat one.巧克力中一个
在书后练习的解释中：

Recall that one, although singular, can take either a singular or a plural antecedent.

eg. When Norma and her husband read an article about Florida's adorable mantes, they promised each other that they would one day go to Florida and see one.
因此one 应该是指代单数， 但也可以指代集合名词的一部分。

记得高中英语老师讲过...the ones=those;the one=that,那么这样的话，E中的the ones=those应该是对的咯~~估计错就错在dash和平行上...

first, i'm about 99% sure that we are not allowed to use "ones" to refer to people.

second, i'm also about 99% sure that "THE ones" must refer back to "THE some other noun".
