With in choice A and Despite having in choice D confusingly suggest that United States citizens somehow possess, rather than constitute, 5 percent of the world’s population. Choices B and C lose the contrast between the opening phrase and the main clause, and As is unidiomatic in B.

With和Despite having 隐含的主语是USA，所以OG说这样好象说USA拥有了世界人口的5%，而不是重点说组成世界人口的5%，意思重点不一样。As和with没有能明显地构成比较，因为这里需要一个有比较意义的连词。

你手里有OG的解释吗
