Shaping the Future of Business

The Integrated Core: A Solid Foundation
The Integrated Core is a unique six-week program providing a foundation in accounting, finance, information technology, operation logistics, marketing, human resources management and strategy. Team-taught as one comprehensive course by UBC Commerce faculty representing different core business disciplines, it develops the broad management perspective and cross-functional skills necessary to tackle the most complex business challenges.
UBC IMBA Students will gain:
A general management perspective based on a solid understanding of key business functional areas and their interdependence.
A broad-based, senior-level strategic approach to business decisionmaking.
Teamwork, communication and leadership skills developed through problem-solving, group projects and presentations.
The first two weeks of the Integrated Core are offered in Shanghai at The School of Management at Shanghai Jiao Tong University.The remaining four weeks will be taught at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada where, through classes, field trips and site visits, students will have the opportunity to experience North American culture and business practices firsthand.
