842. The unskilled workers at the Allenby plant realized that their hourly rate of $4.11 to $4.75 was better than many nearby factory wages.

(A) many nearby factory wages

(B) many wages in nearby factories

(D) it is in many nearby factories C（E）

(E) that offered by many nearby factories--

答案E。没问题，因为其他4个选项都太错了。只好选E。

但我觉得E这里的指代其实不是很准确：that只能指代前面的their hourly rate，给人感觉many nearby factories提供的也是their hourly rate,好象nearby factories提供的也是the unskilled workers' hourly rate. 要是that指代的是the hourly rate就好了.. 大家觉得呢?

这样指代对啊，别的工厂提供的非熟练工人的工资没有这个厂的高。

有过类似想法，不过遇到的多了就习惯了，反正去掉所有格只看东东。不过，你的看法我认为有道理。
