选A, each独立主格是each + n. +介词短语的，但是A each后只有个名词阿，他想表达什么意思呢？这也算是独立主格吗？难道of poles是介词短语吗？这句话是什么意思呀？谢谢。

不是独立主格，是同位语的嵌套用法。
...dwellings known as shades, each a roof of poles and arrow weedsupported by posts set in a rectangle.
each同位修饰dwellings, a roof of poles又同位修饰each，相当于each后面省略了of which is:
...dwellings known as shades, each (of which is) a roof of poles and arrow weedsupported by posts set in a rectangle.

斑斑,不知健在否。a roof of....可以用来同位each，或者说是dwelling吗，房屋可以说是屋顶吗？关于同位语的用法有些搞，句子可不可以这样改：..... ，each that was a roof of poles and arrow weeds supported by posts set in a rectangle.

还是我自问自答吧，不可以，同位语要能补充说明信息，each that从句的中心旨在each，that只是他的定语，也就是说逗号后面光一个each没有补充任何信息，无意义。
