针对这道题使用过去完成时，我有点迷惑。虽然我知道这道题里明显地表明GBT同学死之前就成名了，所以应该用过去完成时。但是manhattan语法上举了个例子，Laura LOCKED the deadbolt before she LEFT for work. 通过这个例子，manhattan说“we already know that locked happens before left because of the word before. The words before and after indicate the sequence of events clearly and emphatically enough to make the use of the Past Perfect unneccessary.”
