两道prep上的题，涉及到besides的用法问题，查了历史帖还是不得要旨。

besides A，B A和B是否要平行呢？如果要求平行，怎么解释prep2-34选A呢？

第二题A选项是平行呀，add complementary flavors to many food 和stimulate the release of endorphins in the brain。动作和动作平行。只是因为besides是介词，动词要加ING...个人理解啊

可为什么用的these 不是they呢

既然add complementary flavors to many food 和stimulate the release of endorphins in the brain，那应该写成“Besides adding complementary flavors to many foods, stimulating the release of endorphins in the brain ……”啊？

these在此题中确实特殊。应该单独做了主语，按照通常规则是不行的。

哦哦，these 确实特殊。。stimulate在句子中是做谓语动词的，—ing做不了谓语。前面的add同为动词，但为了配合besides的介词用法，因此加了ing

嗯。

stimulate在句中是做谓语。我的意思是：如果是平行，为了和前面adding的ving形式保持一直，应该改用stimulating，后面再补齐句子的谓语等成分。为什么不是用的这种形式？

目前答案的这种形式：前面是adding，后面是hot sauces，一个ving，一个名词，好像不平行啊？

同意，besides本身是介词，引导介词短语放于句中做状语，修饰主语或其它名词性成分，不需要与被修饰成分平行。
