1。 Canadian scientsts have calculated that (one human being should be struck every nine years by a mereorite), while each year sixteen buildings can be expected to sustain damage from such ojects.

D. every nine years a human being will be struck by a meteorite
E. every nine years a human being should be struck by a meteorite

请问这里的SHOULD AND WILL 如何选择，是通过句意，还是通过语气？
SSHOULD 在什么时候才用呢？

D. who demanded that it

答案选D。 demand somebody to do something 不对马？ ving 直接跟着consumer作定语难道不比y用who引导的定语从句更简洁？

从句意可以看出，不是一个人类应该受到攻击，而是将受到打击。
也可以说从语气上判断。

2.选D
你忘记考虑虚拟语气了。原句明显告诉我们用虚拟语气SHOULD，但是错在虚拟语气不能加SHOULD

2. 是分词与从句的区别，
分词表示，重复性，状态，性质方面的描述。
从句表示一次性，有具体时间，具体动作方面的描述。
本句如果用分词，改变了含义。

第二个题目一点补充：在引导宾语的时候that从句优于to do结构。
