标题: 牛人来看SC as with怎么用啊
Turtles, as with other reptiles, can endure long fasts because they can survive on weekly or even monthly feedings; however, when food is readily available, they may eat frequently and grow very fat.
(A) as with other reptiles
(B) as other reptiles are able to
(E) like other reptiles are able to do
这题 A和D相比，最后正确答案选择D。为什么A 不对？ 谁来介绍一下as with的用法？(*^__^*) 嘻嘻……

as with 后面加的是句子，不能是名词。as 一般讲的是方式上的相同，也就是通常谓语即动词上的相同。

as 和as with能一样吗？ 我怎么觉得as with后面应该加名词性短语的啊？我以为As with是不是一般都只放句首的？

个人觉得好像as with 没这个搭配啊，但是 as 除了作为什么。。。来讲，出现了as 的后面都是加句子的。

有as with这个搭配的，纠结了~~我查了大字典，没有出现，但是网上baidu，都有这个词组，但是这个词组好生僻，没发现特别之处，就是许多用法都放句末。但是有几句句子是用在句中的，句中的用法没出现","，可能是这个规律。但是不是很确定，LZ的问题可能是个好问题，请牛人解救....

我记得在哪里看到过as with 相当于as is the case with，但应该是比较累赘的说法，不如like简洁，而且gmat里面这个就没对过。。。
不过有另外一种情况是as引起的with介词短语之间的比较，看起来也是as with ，但其实不是as with词组，比如：
938. With diamonds, as with all gems, one should ask for a written description of one’s purchase; the description may prove useful later if you have reason to believe the jeweler misled you.

这题并不是as with用法的问题
关键是这是一个比较关系，前后是最好的平衡的，所以可以看到在主句中，没有任何“with” 以及可以搭配“with”的成分出现
不过，觉得D也是不太好的，因为like other reptiles，感觉这里应该是as other reptiles could的省略，是不是改成 as other reptiles更好些

你说938这个？是拆开的。 with diamonds, as (with all gems)..... 属于as连接的两个介词短语对比. 举这个例子是想说明gmat中出现过的正确的as with更可能是这种情况，而不是as with这个短语的用法。

If you have read the prep 2008, you may know the usage of as with.
As with 意思上和 Like 相当，可以表示像。。。。一样或者如。。。。
但是用法不一样
like 前后必须完全平行，结构完全一致，多用于接名词。
而As with在口语中用法没有太多限制。
但是在GAMT中， 要用As with必须有一个条件，就是句中要有一个句子与其平行。 比如 With......As with.....才可以用As with. 否则只可以用 As is the case with....... As is the case with就没有什么限制了。不知道清楚没有，如果不清楚我可以奉上例句哈。

as当作像什么的意思时， 后面只能加句子，除了as be the case with+名词属于比较特殊的形式（也符合as 加句子原则，倒装了）只要见到“as with+名词” 都是错误选项~
as当作为什么的意思时，后面加名词~
