135. The following appeared in a memorandum from the business planning department of Avia Airlines.


"Of all the cities in their region, Beaumont and Fletcher are showing the fastest growth in the number of new businesses. Therefore, Avia should establish a commuter route between them as a means of countering recent losses on its main passenger routes. And to make the commuter route more profitable from the outset, Avia should offer 1/3 discount on tickets purchased within two days of the flight. Unlike tickets bought earlier, discount tickets will be nonrefundable, and so gain from their sale will be greater."

第一, 没有调查recent losses on its main passenger routes 的真正原因.


第二, B and F 的发展快,并不表示有commuter route 的需求, 应该未必能counter  the losses.


And to make the commuter route more profitable from the outset, Avia should offer 1/3 discount on tickets purchased within two days of the flight.


第三 offer 1/3 discount 就可以profitable 了. 说不定都不到保本线. 应该拿出具体的成本-利润表.

问一个比较细微的问题

是指机票最多只能买两天内的意思吗?

从一楼NN的建议中，小妹补充了一些小细节：
1.    可从new buz下手，题目未说明两区域间的商业关系，即使个别发展快速，两地未必有往来（旅游、商业合作…等）的增加。
2.     losses on its main passenger routes 的原因？可接续第一点做解释，商业发展快速和往来量无关。或着，因有其他交通运输或其他航空业者，使其失去客户。
3.    Unlike tickets bought earlier,discount tickets will be nonrefundable, and so gain from their sale will begreater.
a.    Nonrefundable 是一种权利，等于买机票者将权力卖给航空公司，如此，what’s thevalue of this right？有超过1/3吗？消费者愿意冒风险买discount tickets（卖出权力）吗？b.     tickets bought earlier 也未说明，是否折价？折价多少？
两者间难有比较标准
