我认为是C

different from排除A/B

has discovered时态排除were-D/E，另外，E少了should这个情态动词

stonerenGG：是说现在完成时的从句里不能用过去时？还是根据句意，发现现在不融洽，所以应该divorc；要是发现过去incompatible，那现在不一定“should divorce”，是么？

主句是现在范围内时态，宾语从句一般应该也用现在时，而不是过去时吧。从意思上讲，这对夫妇incompitable当然是一直存在的，如果仅仅是过去存在而现在不存在，也就不必离婚了吧？：）

从逻辑角度， caterpillar 的看法已经解释地十分清楚了。我只补充你提到的语法问题，在现在完成时态中，的确很少见过去时（当然是针对类似的情况），因为，现在完成时本身就是代表从过去到现在，其已经包含了过去的含义。
