答案是D, 但是dated怎么可以用现在完成时呢？而且这题也没有出现使用这个时态的标志啊？

A： fossil made it the earliest known..... 意思错，it指代不明
B： they应该是动作发出者，（科学家云云），没有前文，指代不明
C：是化石于1991年被发现而非树懒
Ｅ：同Ｃ一样错误。

have been dated ：被动+现在完成时　完全可以用
现在完成时：过去发生并且已经完成的动作对现在造成影响或后果，过去某一时间开始并一直持续到现在并且有可能还会持续的动作或状态。。。
过去完成时的出现必须有明显标志。。但是没说现在完成时要有标志的。。

和the door has been opened一个道理

补充，这道题的完成时是有标志的，making。。。the earliest。。。有最高级出现，通常会有完成时表示在整段时间内

补充，这道题的完成时是有标志的，making。。。the earliest。。。有最高级出现，通常会有完成时表示在整段时间内
