答案选D，我选了C，看过各种各样的解释：
1、first派：由于first位置不同导致含义不同（但LZ我没能琢磨出怎么个不同，谁能解释下？）
2、固定搭配派：有些解释说support from是固定搭配，但其实support of也是固定搭配
3、修饰派：说C中to seek是修饰museums，D中to seek是修饰the first，所以D好（这个也没怎么明白）

所以，有木有NN能够解释一下捏？

觉得1和3是一回事。因为first位置不同，导致to seek修饰的东西不一样了

LZ，是这样的：首先承认support from是固定搭配，support of也个是固定搭配，但是放在文章里意思不同，如果是 of ，意思是support is one way of corporations and private donors , 如果是 from 那么意思是： it get support from sth,（倚靠谁的支持）这才是正确的意思。

其次，C选项 it among Britain’s first national museums ，也改变了细微的原意，是说它是第一个国际博物馆（有很多个）中的一个，这样逻辑不通啊，the first 只能有一个啊~所以要the first 要提前，作名词。

另外，to seek 在c 选项中修饰的是Britain’s first national museums ，修饰的是很多的museums。 to seek 在D选项中修饰的是 the first ，即修饰的是唯一的第一的museum，即 the Victoria and Albert Museum 。

不知道我讲清楚没~~呵呵

有个问题不懂，如果the first只能有一个，为什么前面有among?

1、first派：
还原D, the V and A Museum was among the first (museum) of B's national museums
C的话，among B's first national museums 中的first 有歧义，没有起到逻辑上要修饰the V and A museum 的作用，反而变成B's first national museum.

2、固定搭配派：有些解释说support from是固定搭配，但其实support of也是固定搭配
Although it ...by the government, the V and A museum... was to seek support from the government...
这样逻辑上转折更并列些
当然也可以是
the V and A museum... was to seek support of the government.
但although 就没它啥事了

of & from 两者均为固定搭配
support of A from B--------来自于B，用来支持A
support of后面是支持的对象
support from 后面是支持的来源

这解释也不见得对吧？Longman上的例句：

support of
He hadthe full supportof the general committee.
Thompson haswon the supportof half the party.
The organisers are hoping todrum up support (=get many people's approval)from local businesses.

个人看法：
support of 表示已经得到support
support from表示还未得到support

support这部分了解，但是关于among的用法还是不懂，求解啊！！
不是说among 后面要有两个以上的东西么？
d 中 the first 强调了已经是第一个，前面再加上among，among一个博物馆，理解不了啊。。。。

我觉得这个题的关键在于to seek support from上面
根据句子意思是得到support，所以固定搭配应该使用support from
不知道大家有没有发现句子末尾的to increase，为了和to increase平行，前面只能用to seek
综上，只能是to seek support from，只有D了
