这个saw的用法相当于中文中的‘拟人’，可以解释为：见证了

句子表达的是：十八世纪末这个时代见证了...的出现

这种用法很多的说，RC文章中到处可见，如XDF补充教材的RC 的第一篇的第一句话：Recent years have brought minority-owned buinesses in the US unprecendented opportunities, as well as new and significant risks.

AWA中可以多多的用，多么经典的句子呀。

18世纪末出现了家畜奖品饲养业,公牛和母牛受到奖励,前所未有的好价格,每次出台都会受到极大的关注.

第一部分是主句,主谓宾很清晰.我想可能是后面的让人不易明白. 这是个以with开始的状语, with sb doing sth. " individual bulls and cows" 是sb; "receiving"是 sb 的谓语"doing", 后面的都是 "receiving"的宾语.

本人愚见,多指正

这题让我狂晕，看了半天都不知道它是OG上的，虽然发现它有问题。

这里的individual是“个体的”，不是“私人的”意思。

我想receiving.fetching,excited三单词应是并列关系

当然可以获奖，中国以前也有这样的事例，汗血宝马的引进时就被封为了“..大将军”

另外fetching unprecedented prices是“售得”的意思，即卖到空前的价格，很地道的用法，如：

fetched a thousand dollars at auction.
拍卖卖得一千美元
