1. Algebra is the branch of mathematics concerned with operations on sets of numbers or other elements that are often represented at symbols.
at 错了，应该是什么？
2。The American anarchist Emma Goldman infused her spirited lectures, publishes, and demonstrations with a passionate belief in the freedom of the individual.
划线的哪个错了？我认为the 应该去掉。大家认为呢？

2.我认为是 publishes错了,publish是动词, 前后又没连接词连接, 一个句子里不能出现两个动词

划线的哪个错了？我认为the 应该去掉。大家认为呢？

※※※※同意Trunnity的意见，应该改成publications. “the individual”强调是“每一个个体”。

BTW，Trunnity的头像好温柔娴静，比matrix reloaded里面的Trunnity漂亮多了。^_^

belief 是名词~~~ 前面又是形容词修饰, 怎么能错~

Look it in a dict, if publish would be used as a noun, it's meaning should be "publishing"
So. "publishes" is wrong here. I agree with Trunnity&Dinna.
