这三题，比较结构than 后面的比较对象都没有出现，哎哟，别说用代词了，干脆将代词都省了。如果说OG253中的than usual 是idiom话，817和586该怎么解释呢，586中甚至将previously thought 直接作了was的主语，是不是可以认为previously estimated 和previously thought可以代替比较对象呢？请大家帮忙看看，给个解释。谢谢大家！

Please note that "was" can't be omitted because it's needed to introduce a different tense:
