allow doing 允许做
e.g. The boss won't allow changing the schedule because it will cause much inconvenience.

allow sb to do sth 或者sb is allowed to do sth 允许某人做
e.g. He is so independent that he won't allow anyone to lead him by the nose.

额。。都是允许，有什么区别吗？

我认为没有区别，就是在允许某人做某事，是用to do，如果是允许实施某件事，就是doing。在意思上没有什么区别，或者你举个具体的题目出来吧？这样更便于理解，呵呵

在，allow sb to do sth 而不是allow sb doing sth. 题目是说这两位领导人物不追求知名度，总是允许others to take credit for（领功劳）。

allow和doing之间不能插入名词啊。。。原来如此~
