我选D，理由是前面是indicates 后面用现在完成和现在进行，满好的

E用现在完成和过去，不好

D的另一个错误是not的逻辑错误。前面用few，后面又用not，变成双重否定了。意思就完全变了。变成few people are not making.。。。

参考OG-9，做宾语的that在GMAT里一般都要省掉（黄金规则-2）

这道题目应该选D

1. research indicate that---后面用or，我总觉得不爽，这里没有取舍的关系，用and比较好；

2. 问题的关键是when shopping for cars，这里用了省略，补全了就是when （few people are shopping） for cars；

而省略的条件是：1主语一致，都是few people；2 谓语是be，C这里也是be（are）

如果选E，就不对了，要补出have been shopping for cars了，可能吗？

大家说对不对？

D里面是not making,和E的逻辑正好相反, 从句意判断还是E更好吧.

我有个疑问: E里面的they do究竟do指代什么, 从句意上说似乎是指代drive, 但是driving在前面是一个名词, 这么指代符合语法吗?

Yukon，我的意思不是时态要一致，而是前面的谓语也要有be（不管是is，are，were,was等），而不是单纯的made

我错了。错误的原因不在时态，而是

状语从句省略时，主句并不要求是be为谓语。

对此错误表示伤心、痛苦和绝望。

不是很明白，在一个subject，且动词过去时和分词为同型的情况下，如果不补出之前的助动词或是be动词的话怎么区分后面的动词是完成时还是过去时，或是主动还是被动呢？盼复！比如这个题：

few people have significantly reduced the amount of driving they do or made（分不清后面是过去时还是完成时，如果可以省略助动词，那么我想表示过去时的时候怎么表示呢？）

language is produced and understood（记得还有这道题，如果understood之前不补出be动词的话如何区分是主动还是被动呢？）不是这样的情况都要根据逻辑意思来自行判断吧！

哎，彻底不行了我，刚才写比较才写比较结构中的省略，是可以省略相同主语但是不能省略助动词和情态动词，这里又可以了，说起来就是没有规则可言了，全看意思了。笔记都不知道该怎么写了，快误人子弟了。

根据句意，直接排除A,C,D. 因为后面应该跟or，而不是nor或者and. 因为这两个行为都是关于节省能源，前面有一个“although”，所以应该跟or。
然后我跪在了B，也不知道为什么我会选B。。。
