The use of lie detectors is based on the assumption that lying produces emotional reactions in an individual that,in turn,create unconscious physiological responses.
A.that,in turn,create unconscious physiological responses
E.who creates unconscious physiological responses that are unconscious


Answer:A          我的答案：E
解释说that指代creations.因此create不能加s。
我认为，which,that都是就近指代，应该指代individual，所以应用creates.另外，从句意上理解，应该是人产生unconscious physiological responses
求解答

我的笔记里面是这么写的：that既可以代替不可数名词也可以代替可数名词单数, 代替可数名词复数时用 those。
在曼哈顿里面没有找到依据。求NN解答！~~~~~~~~~

不一样不一样。这个不是指代，是引导一个从句……指代的话如你所说。可是引导从句就是要去找先行词啊~

同意版主的观点，that跳跃修饰并且引导从句，不能改成those。。。。

THAT是定语从句的引导词，其先行词是指物的名词。单复数均可。THAT指代时指代可数名词单数或不可数名词

关键点是in turn
in turn 体现了一个顺序问题
A:lying-->emotional reactions-->unconscious physiological responses(因为有in turn)
E:emotional reactions与unconscious physiological responses是同时发生的（因为只是一个普通的定语从句）
A更符合逻辑

是不是说，that引导限制性定语从句的时候，从句义去理解，不论远近，哪个合理修饰哪个？

以原句（A选项）想表达的意思去寻找代词的logical先行词~


在另外一个帖子里贴过RON大神的解释，pronoun除了平行位置等的绝对错误时，不要因为pronoun歧义而否定一个选项。

way,其实that引导的限定从能跳跃的成分还有很多。。。
