此题的答案是B。为何A不对啊？

A中，as compared with比较对象不一致，比较的是price和cars and trucks

另外，amounting to about $72 貌似也是不对的，动作发出是price of next year's models 车没这么便宜的吧

我觉得A选项的解释
说amounting to about $72 应该可以修饰four-tenths of one percent,
因为分词结构在中间修饰紧邻的n （与在句尾不同）
可能这儿把逗号去掉更好。

对B选项
four-tenths of one percent，or about 72
有点疑问，
or前面有个, 这里是不是应该和price would decrease four-tenths of one percent整个句子平行吖？因为主谓相同就省略了
不可能时是和four-tenths of one percent平行因为一个是名词结构一个是介宾结构
不知道自己的理解对不对··希望高人指点谢谢了···
