which就近指代Germany逻辑意思不对啦。。。which逻辑上应该是指代The new image的，但距离太远了。。。用现在分词including做伴随状语可以很好的修饰The new image

楼上说的对。which在gmat里头一般就近指代，所以which include本意which是指代 the new image，所以只能用现在分词。

我的问题是。。。如果句子改成：
The new image of Stone Age people as systematic hunters of large animals, rather than as merely scavenging for meat, has emerged from the examination of tools found in Germany, including three wooden spears that archaeologists believe to be about 400,000 years old.
这个样子。。。算对么？
as... rather than...这个是什么用法。。。？

rather than前后平行的是systematic hunters of large animals和mere scavengers of meat，都是as后面的内容，所以没有说as...rather than.... 这种用法

I don't think "including blabla" is modifying "the new image".
IMO, it is modifying "tools".
Open to discussion.

笔记上也说，include修饰的tools，
但是个人也认为根据句意include应该修饰image，因为太远用which产生歧义，所以分词作状语修饰主语，从语法和语意上都符合...

认为不选“which includes”的原因是因为修饰的是“tools”，“include”不应该加“s“
