7.(Z19)Mice that have been given morphine are very likely to develop blood poisoning because bacteria that normally reside in the intestine typically respond to morphine by migrating into the bloodstream.  However, when mice are given both morphine and the new drug naltrexone, blood poisoning is much less frequent, although it does still occur.  These results provide support for researchers’ prediction that naltrexone will turn out to be toxic to certain types of bacteria.
Which of the following, if discovered to be true, would most seriously weaken the support for the researchers’ prediction?
我选的是E，但是答案是B，对于B中的prevent bacteria into the blood，我有个问题。
提干明明说了是 blood poisoning只是减少了，也就是说还有发生血液毒性事件。
B只是说不进入血液，如果真的是这样的话，那就应该是一点儿中毒的情况都不会有呀！因为提干很清楚地说develop blood poisoning because bacteria that normally reside in the intestine typically respond to morphine by migrating into the bloodstream。所以我认为B是否定研究事实了。求各位的解释

B. ！Naltrexone inhibits morphine from triggering the migration of intestinal bacteria into the bloodstream.
E. Conditions other than the presence of intestinal bacteria in the bloodstream can cause blood poisoning in mice.

明白了，我知道prevent最开始理解有偏差。。。知道做题的时候得顺着去想。谢谢xiangyi

我的理解是：你要先看整段话的结论：“专家预言：好的效果的出现是因为naltrexone 对bacteria有毒”注意结论说是有毒！
之后你来看选项，B中是说：这个好的效果是因为naltrexone阻止bacteria进入血液！他的削弱作用就在于不是“有毒起作用”而是“阻止有作用”！
E中是无关选项，文中没有说other conditions！文中一直围绕这个细菌来说的，已经确定病就是细菌导致的，重点是在对待细菌的方式（而这样的方式是有效果的）上要你来削弱！
做逻辑题一定要看他要你削弱的是什么，这题他要你削弱的是the support(就是那个预言)

按照B如果是说不进入血液的话，那就应该是一点儿中毒的情况都不会有呀！
可如果你同意的话，就违反提干。

同样的如果你不同意，认为会有一些中毒，那就更违反提干了，提干说中毒的原因是那个细菌进入血液。B选项是说防止进入的。。。。所以，唉，不明白了，求解

我觉得做逻辑题，做多了就会发现你很容易找到逻辑攻破点。这题你做错了，不是说你的解释没道理，只是你抓的重点错了，你要把握GMAT出题的思路和想问题的方式，没事的~~一开始都这样，会揪着非重点去较真！多做些题，找思路，慢慢就有一种感觉，看到选项就知道他是无关的，即使说不出原因。例如此题你的错选。一看重点是在讲导致这个病的原因，我就知道这是错的！

恩，摸头，还是不明白，为啥就一定呢？老鼠得病因为 bacteria that normally reside in the intestine typically respond to morphine by migrating into the bloodstream.  However, when mice are given both morphine and the new drug naltrexone, blood poisoning is much less frequent（就是发病少了，但还是会有的）  

削弱：prediction that naltrexone will turn out to be toxic to certain types of bacteria
OKAY,OKAY,OKAY,i know your guys say" naltrexone can not kill bacteria" so chooseB, but I stilllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll...() DO NOT UNDERSTAND
in the passage, it says " less frequent". So B says prevent bacteria enter into blood---->no bacteria in blood------->mice will not have any sick
So. sorry everyone, please help me in this point. thanks

And You admit "the sick is less frequent, but still occur" In this way, you probablly doubt B. Since b"only says prevent bac into blood",
prevent entering into the blood------- mice can not sick any ! (因为mice got sick only becasue bacteria enters into the blood.---->if bacteria can not into blood, this mice can not get sick,)

烦死了！！！不明白了。。。啊啊啊啊啊啊
