In late 1997, the chambers inside the pyramid of the Pharaoh Menkaure at Giza were closed to visitors for cleaning and repair due to moisture exhaled bv tourists, which raised its humidity to such levels so
that salt from the stone was crystallizing and fungus was growing on the walls.

解析： A Due to is an imprecise expressionof the
causal connection between the tourists'
breath and the closing of the museum for
cleaning; the singular pronoun its does not
agree with the plural antecedent chambers.
B It is not at all clear what the referenceis for
the pronoun its; fungus was growing should
be parallel to salt... was crystallizing (not
would crystallize) because it is another effect
of the humidity.
C The pronoun them seems to refer to tourists,
which is nonsensical; the entire construction
is awkward and wordy; would crystallize is
not parallel to was growing.
D Once again, them seems to refer to tourists;
the entire construction is awkward, wordy,
and ambiguous; crystallize is not parallel to
was growing.
E Correct. The causal sequence isclear, and
them clearly refers tochambers.
The correct answer is E.

问题：答案中没有涉及到Such that的问题。以下表达都可以吗？
to such level so that --- 是否such与so重复了？
to such level that --- 正确
to levels such that --- 是否正确？
to levels so high as to ---- so .... as to = so.... that?

A. 错误点（1）：没有such...so that的用法，只有so..that和such...that引导的是结果状语从句所以·
错误点（2）：moisture exhaled by tourists, which raised its humidity to这里是一个非限制性定语从句，而先行词应该是moisture，而不是tourists A错
B. （1）due to和because of都属于口语话的表达方式，一般在GMAT考试中视为错误
（2）and前后应该平行
C. 没有平行
D. because of; 以及没有平行
E. 答案是对的

PS：OG后面的解析基本不用看，错误很多，而且完全没有用，曼哈顿会带来很大帮助

根本就没有such that这样的用法所以你也不用再纠结了~~~

so that既可引导目的状语从句，也可引导结果状语从句
so...that只能引导结果状语从句
such...that只能引导结果状语从句

such as 表列举，往往后面跟的是所要列举的事物
而从来就没有such like的用法
like在GMAT考试中只表示比较

关于连在一起的such that，补充一个ron的解释吧..

* "such that" doesn't make sense.
in fact, i don't think you should pick a sentence with "such that" in one piece. if anyone can prove me wrong on this, please do.
the ONLY non-awkward, correct sentences i've seen with "such that" are sentences about math or physics (e.g., "choose x and y such that x + y = 10").

最简单的方式，根据句意来读就能选对答案了，我做这道题的时候没有想such...that之类的搭配，纯粹因为E读起来最符合句意而且表达也最清晰所以毫无疑问E
