正答是E，我选的D
困惑的是，我应该weaken的是increased potential ridership，还是nevertheless后面的部分？
我感觉应该是前者，因为后面是让步状语从句，前面是主句，是作者的主要观点啊但是E明显WEAKEN的后者。。。
谁能解释下。。。

这道题目嘛。。。
铁路老总说：“五年前这个Lamberton市跟它郊外的铁路线停运啦，神马原因呢？是因为没有很多火车乘客，导致铁路运营入不敷出。现在郊外人口增加了，有可能会有比以前多的人想做火车往返，但是嘛，老总我认为由于新增的人口大多是有私家车的，有私车的肯定自己开私车，不会选择坐火车，所以把这条铁路重开还是不会有足够的火车乘客的，所以重开还是入不敷出的”。
首先咱要揣摩圣意了解那老总的观点是啥，然后咱才能weaken了它。老总的意思是“重开这铁路线还是会入不敷出的”。
但如果E是真的话，就是最近停车费也涨高速公路费也涨，那开私家车成本就增高了，那可能那些Y的有私家车也开不起，还是会选坐火车，那火车乘客就可能增多了，那可能重开这铁路线就有足够的乘客可以使其获利运营了。那老总的话就成狗屁了。。。那咱就把这题给解了。。。
