求教大家一个问题，对于D选项，OG中有个解释说缺少了一个that,但是我觉得这里是个定语从句，that修饰的是recession，在句子中做宾语，应该是可以省略的呀，为什么OG说不能省略呢？作者: 狂威雪 时间: 2011-4-5 00:18

不好意思，我想问下，按照你的翻译，这里是年初大多数人所担心的衰退，年初大多数人所担心的是用来修饰衰退的，而并不是衰退的内容，如果后面是GDP FELL BY 40%这样的东西才应该是同位语吧，所以这应该是定语从句吧？作者: Joseph_lin 时间: 2011-4-5 21:28

可以用过去完成时、也可以用现在完成时，也可以用一般过去时。时态不是关键，不同的时态只是表达了不同的含义。 这个题OG的解释确实怪异，我猜，仅仅是我猜，加了that是为了更清晰滴防止“have feared”和"(have) come"并列的歧义。作者: 瓜瓜不瓜 时间: 2011-5-29 23:57

至于时态的问题同意6#的说法唉~ 我觉得除了真的很明确的时态外，还是不要用时态来判断对错比较好 D选项的正确问题，之前有一个同学解释的很好 here u should use the past perfect tense based on the meaning.

我认为这道题的时态应该用句意判断，而且好像prep笔记上说出现earlier this year 就用过去完成时。。。。。。不过我做这题时是我认为confidence that 的表达比in要有整体感作者: 小伊YSY 时间: 2011-7-7 00:08

时态上仍然很纠结，不过从句子的表达来讲，如果选D的话: According to analyst, the gains reflect growing confidence in the economy to avoid recession blah blah blah。 "to avoid recession" 的动作执行者并不是很明确。也许这就是为什么OG会说 "the economy to avoid the recession is awkward and unclear". 而相比之下，A 则直接地说 "that the economy will avoid..."
在比较时态很难决定的时候，也许句意的明确是A 较好的原因。（个人觉得earlier in the year 可以看作时间节点，也可以看作一段时间，所以had feared, 或were fearing 都可以，不知道为什么OG说后者是错的，sighhh)作者: zoexixi 时间: 2011-12-17 01:48
我在想，是不是因为【earlier in the year】的位置问题
无that，是想表达 to avoid the recession 【many were fearing】 earlier in the year 即earlier in the year修饰recession，又或者整个介词to avoid the recession
还是想说 avoid the recession 【many were fearing earlier in the year】 即修饰were fearing
