小雪MM，我觉得第一道的答案应该是C吧？B的IT应该去掉的。

第二道，EITHER OR，只剩B和D了。排除D是用句子结构作到的，or surface fires that burn down individual trees but do not denude the forest.红色部份互相照应。

d可能造成歧义，因为这个removing是修饰主句还是从句的呢？在这里b就没有这个问题。另外，根据没有划线的部分看，but后面是从句而非分词。but是非常讲究平行对应的。
