句子结构：A recent review…indicates that…, CEO’S earn…, as compared to…
主语是review，谓语是indicates，后跟that引导的宾语从句说明indicate的内容，宾语从句的主语是
CEO’s，谓语是earn，宾语是419 timesthe pay of blue-collar workers，后跟比较结构as compared
to…，the ratio是42 times theirpay的同位语。
CEO’s 是 CEO 的复数形式，以缩写字母组成的专有名词的复数形式可以是加’s 或加 s。
比较-compare/contrast的用法，(as) comparedto/with（GMAT 没有区分 to 和 with 的区别），省略
了主语和系动词，即 A be compared with/to B，与 in contrast to 都是惯用法，前后比较对象一定
要对等。常见的错误用法有：将 compare 用作主动(when compare…; comparing…)，比较对象
句子结构-宾语从句，正式书面语中，宾语从句的引导词 that 不能省略。
(A) compared to的比较对象不对象，前者419 times the pay of blue-collar workers表达的是工资数，
(B) a ratio that compares的compare不能用主动方式表达，应该是被比较sth be compared to…的省
略形式（省略了主语和系动词，是惯用法）；compare to的比较对象不对象，前者419 times the payof
blue-collar workers表达的是工资数，而后者42 times是比率。
(C) 正确，as compared to比较结构，419 times the pay与42 times their pay比较，the ratio…是同位
(D) 缺少that引导宾语从句；indicates CEO’s who…句子结构不完整，缺少谓语，who引导定语从句
(E) 缺少that引导宾语从句；indicates CEO’s earning…句子结构不完整，缺少谓语；compare to的
比较对象不对象，前者419 times the payof blue-collar workers表达的是工资数，而后者42 times是

(B) 正确，as… as…连接不同的household对比，where引导定语从句修饰households与前面保持对
(C) whose grandparents和前面的where…不对称，household作家庭讲用where指代，而不是whose。。
(D) as… than搭配错误，且as…as与comparedto结构重复。
(E) as… than搭配错误；whose grandparents和前面的where…不对称。
这里为什么就不对了？？？
求大牛给讲解一下AS compared to 的用法？？

发表下拙见，我觉得两个as compared to用法不一样。
第一个as compared to相当于when compared to，与其说是比较专用，我更喜欢把它理解成状语从句。
第二个as compared to要分开看，因为前面有个as many...as的结构。第二题的总结构基本上是：
Bureau shows that ( there are more than three times as manyhouseholds where...)as (there arehousholds where...)
如果这里后面改成了 as compared to,那么compared to显然和前面不平行了。

我覺得as compared to的用法是錯的。
如果是對的話，as只能理解為during（另外兩個表示because, in the same time as不合邏輯）
但是during是一個過程，compared to只是一個瞬間的動作，這兩個東西放一起不合邏輯。
再說，把句子補全以後就是as something be compared to..在something被比較成XX的過程？過程？？~~不對。
一般常用的idiom應該是compared with/to//in comparison to/with~
p.s. as contrasted with必錯。

我觉得as compared to,或者as compared with本身并不是错误的，但是as...as compared to或者as...as compared with是错误的

1) compared with直接跟在逗号后面可以修饰逗号前面名词短语的核心词：
Example：
In the United States, while the number of foreign-born residents and their children is higher than ever, the percentage of the population they represent is not; in 1910 this group made up 35 percent of the population, compared with 20 percent in 2000.
2) Compared with也可以修饰前面整个分句，compared with后面的名词与主语比较：
Example:
Today, more than 43 percent of Californians under the age of eighteen are Hispanic, compared with about 35 percent a decade ago.
In the United States, Fifty-two percent of high school graduates go on to college, compared with thirty-five percent in Canada and fifteen percent in Great Britain, Japan, and West Germany.
One baby in four is now born to a mother aged thirty or older, compared with just one in six in 1975.
3) as compared to/with中as指代前面整句的核心含义：
A recent review of pay scales indicates that, on average, CEO's now earn 419 times the pay of blue-collar workers, as compared to 42 times their pay, the ratio in 1980.

总结来说应该是X times as adj/adv(noun)as..., compared with, as compared to 这三种用法单独使用都是正确的，且比较对象应该前后相等，混用则错，因为每个用法都已经表达了“比较”的含义？
