选项D. a negotiator who has exceptionally high aims needs exceptional perseverance in order to avoid losing.

A mentions intensity, which is out of scope, too, therefore, A is a wrong answer as well.

而D是无关选项
依然取非
若是A，则为：intensity和negotiation无关
那么原文的逻辑链断掉
而D：则为a negotiator who has exceptionally high aims DOES NOT need exceptional perseverance in order to avoid losing
