觉得og对这题的解释不清不楚的，说：有些错误的答案imply there are now more numbers ,rather than more gyrfalcons，对此很费解？？？我有以下几个问题， 1.这里numbers不是gyrfalcon的数量吗，为什么数量要变成复数？？？ 2.此题用more 和great有什么区别 3,DE用的with结构为什么错，这里的with修饰什么的 4.正确答案是A，可than后面只有一个when从句，不是没有比较宾语啥的做比较对象了吗作者: geegee 时间: 2011-3-14 21:42

平时我们学的语法里number有两种情况: 1) 表示quantitiy，此时用单数。比如The number of girl students is 20. 2) 表示multitud，此时a number of=numbers of用于修饰可数名词，然后两者interchangeable，a + adj. + number of= adj. +numbers of
