If Dr. Wade was right, any apparent connection of the eating of highly processed foods and excelling at sports is purely coincidental. (A) If Dr. Wade was right, any apparent connection of the eating of (B) Should Dr. Wade be right, any apparent connection of eating (C) If Dr. Wade is right, any connection that is apparent between eating of (D) If Dr. Wade is right, any apparent connection between eating (E) Should Dr. Wade have been right, any connection apparent between eating according to OG explanation, C is not correct becase it violates parallelism with eating of. I don't understand why C violates parallelism, I think that eating of parallel with excelling at, the prepositional can not be omitted. for example, OG40, the choice D.
谷歌了一下大家的回答,有个是这么回答的 OG151 - 'eating highly processed foods' and 'excelling at sports' is inparallel. The 'eating' in 'eating of xxx' is a noun, not a verb, whilethe 'excelling at' in 'excelling at sports' is a verb. so 'eating of'can't be in parallel with the 'excelling at'.
但是怎么知道eating of 中的eating 不是动词呢? 就是个人会错选为 eating of 与 excelling at 平行作者: Serena0710 时间: 2011-3-5 11:10
白勇上解释:为了保持平行,有时需要用某动词的名词形式,但有些动词没有名词形式,还需要和句子里其他成分表示平行的情况下,就用the+动词-ing的形式充当这个动词的名词~明白不?作者: yanziyi 时间: 2011-3-8 12:16
哦~ O(∩_∩)O谢谢啦~
