我觉得~~ B里是……than that in wheat. 因为有了in wheat修饰，就挺明确是protein而不是rice了
E要表达你那个意思的话，估计在wheat后要加has来消除歧义，也就是： rice has a protein higher in quality than wheat has.
但是即使这样，好像仍然有问题，这样比较的主体就变成rice 和 wheat，它们在比有什么东西（rice has ...than wheat has），而不是rice的protein和wheat的protein在比谁质量高 而句子里用比较级的单词是higher in quality，修饰的是protein，比较的主体应该是protein。
B里是……than that in wheat. 因为有了in wheat修饰，就挺明确是protein而不是rice了 这样就能解释了。不是通过前后比较的逻辑意思判断出that 是protein还是rice，而是通过in wheat这个修饰语，用特别明显的常识来判断that 指代的是protein。 谢谢。
