做题的时候我毫不犹豫的选了D,但是OG的解释是被动语态awkward D awkwardly and illogically shifts to the passive voice: certain characteristics should be acquired by their steers;)

E其实才是平行的 partly to acquire 和 partly to provide 平行~~ 表达了 increasingly used crossbreeding的两个目的
