and Georgia.

(A) so prevalent that it was said a squirrel could

(B) so prevalent that a squirrel was said that it could
答案A，我开始选的B
细读了一下，B确实改变了原文的意思，但是A中it was said...表示“据说”的意思时是不是也应该是“it's said that...”啊，少了that 可以吗？
请大家看看~~

只要that的省略没有歧义，不会引起句子的模糊不清，就可以省。
而且两个that使用靠得很近的话并不好。

manhattan语法里面提到，say是一个例外，GMAT允许它省略that
