please provide more details about yourself first.

To be honest, Kellogg and Booth are both Top B-schools. Any of them is a good choice. please make a fitter choice based on your future career goal and your current experience.

Hi all,
I apologize for not making it clearer and I might have mislead my fellow applicants on CD. I would like to clarify on the following:

First, I applied for the part-time program of both schools but not full-time. So those offers do not indicate the timing of the school decisions.

Second, I've been in Chicago for four years now. My background is in finance/investment banking and would be open to consider broader business career options post MBA. I would also like to explore career opportunities in Asia as well.

My initial purpose was to hear your opinions on those two schools and would love to find out the respective reputation and career potential in Asia. So if you could share some observations, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks much!

I'm also open to any question you may have about the city. I hope I could be of help. Thank you and good luck to you all.

UC should have a better alumni network and reputation in Asia esp in the finance sector (just look at how many more asian students UC recruits each year)

Kellogg is a great school but may not be fully appreciated in Asia.

A not very conclusive example: I went to both school's receiption in Hong Kong, UC defintely attracts more people

(but i may be biased as I only apply to UC even though my career goal is switching to consulting..)

Cuz in kellogg, more people are from consulting/marketing background and more students want to work in these areas. For someone without such background, it is very hard to differenciate him/herself amongst other kellogg students...
Just my opinion..

Thanks for all your responses.
I decided to go with Booth.
I visted classes in both schools and talked to a lot of alumni and current students. Overall, both schools are great with comparative rankings. The curriculum are similar, however, I personnally prefer the teaching styles in Booth. A Kellogg student even told me that she enjoyed the marketing class that she visited in Booth more than Kellogg. That being said, you do need to base your decision on what your expectations are and your preferences on the two very different culturals. The final question I asked to myself was, can you really see yourself in here?

Anyway, Thanks again for the suggestions and please let me know if you have questions about the city and those two schools. Best of luck!
