句子两个并列动词为change和remain，先说change成为了一种叫做钻石的物质，然后后面的由remain引导的句子想表达的是即便压力和热不存在了，石墨也可以remain在钻石的的这种状态，在这种理解之下in this way好于thus。逻辑句意来理解，although也优于when吧，although表条件让步，when表时间状态。

我记得在PREP上看到过,用WHEN的话是当----时候链接短暂性动词,很显然REMAIN不是~~因此排除吗~~~呵呵,希望对你有帮助~~~

这题OG12的蓝本语文分册SC 45有。答案是E。
