A为什么错？我觉得A是最简洁的，so as to的意思是“以便于……”，多恰当啊、、、

补充说明：关于so as to连写。So as to跟to并不是完全对等的！so as to里面有so这个连词，隔开前后，前面的统统是过程，后面统统是目的，而to没有连词，如果to do做状语，修饰的是最近谓语动词。

so as to必须在单一主谓句型下使用。该题句子里面有两个人物，King Henry和Queen Catherine，所以不能选so as to。

so ... as to ... 表示结果，用于单一主谓结构中，逻辑主语等于句子主语，即句子主语可以执行as to后动词的动作。

就是感觉，GMAT追求表达的effectiveness，能够让native speakers不费力就能明确理解作者要表达的意思。
这题的歧义就是who will marry AB? 是King还是QC?
Native speakers也许第一反应是——就跟代词的就近指代一样——头脑里刚刚过的那个QC要marry AB，然后再重读一遍才明白是King要marry AB.
前面同学们提到的"主+谓+宾"的巨型后面不能用"so as to"，其实就是因为后面句子的逻辑主语到底是前面的主语还是另一个名词，这有点歧义。
用”so that he could marry"就非常清晰简洁地表达清楚了意思。

这就类似so that和by which的区别，GMAT喜欢把逻辑关系说清楚，就是把窗户纸捅破。
