Diabetes, together with its serious complications, ranks as the nations`s third leading cause of death, surpassed only by heart disease and cancer.

Diabetes单复数的问题，og上说diabetes是单数，但是我查字典发现diabete也有糖尿病的意思。
那么题中的到底应该用单复数呢？
