15. A. indicate...can. Because such case will occure definitely. You might refer to "predict" and "caculate" in OG. chioce B employs unidiomatic expression of "despite+n+having". Choice C, single subject cosumption does not match have, as also, can should replace could. Choice D wrongly imply that studies are not proved.

16. it is a hot topic. A might distort the meaning.

我对17题不太理解。把以前的帖子就翻出来看了看。但是好像上面对17题的A为何扭曲了意思没有详细说明。
那位牛人能帮忙解释一下？
