我想问的是，A岂不是构成了run-on的错误？

二氧化硫，一种酸雨的重要成因物质，是一种非常严重的污染物因为它削弱了呼吸系统的能力去对付所有其他污染物.
读起来多顺呀~你觉得哪里run-on呢？
再说，D、E肯定不对吧，因为改变原意了，原意中没有说二氧化硫是一种特殊的污染物呀，而且应该是special。
B的because of肯定不对吧，这个才是run-on，because of后接的分词也太巨大了……
C有歧义。in dealing with可以被理解成 the capability in doing / it dininishe in doing(通过和其他所有污染物作用的方式来削弱呼吸系统的能力)

我对答案没有疑问。
也许我对run-on的定义有问题。做题下来总结run-on就是一个句子中出现多个谓语。
觉得because后面又是主谓宾齐全的就构成run-on了。。。应该because前面加逗号。
但是后来查了because发现都不加逗号的。有这种用法但是不提倡。而且prep里面because这种情况都不加逗号。
我把这个当特例记了。
