标题: OG12-105 心里的疑惑求证实

her keen observation and love of the natural world.
这道题的其他相关点都已经明了。
但是对于A项，OG解释说use of the present progressive form of the verb confuses the sequence of time with respect to the past tense of the main verb capitalized.

我来谈一下自己的看法望牛牛们指正：
现在分词作状语，有两种用法：
1 分词动作一发生，谓语动作立即发生
2 分词动作在进行过程中，谓语动作发生了
以上两种都不能匹配原文的两个动作，因为原文想表达的是coordinate前，capitalize在后，这样的一前一后关系，所以OG认为coordinate的现在分词形式会混淆它与谓语动词的时间顺序

另外：现在分词可以做定语，也可以做状语。通常做状语，是放在一个句子的前或后，这里的位置更像是做定语修饰，但是修饰前面哪一个名词不是十分清楚。 og的解释： the participial phrase does not clearly modify the noun in the preceding phrase. 当然还有些小原因，什么两个修饰成分把s和v隔得太开。
