我感觉差不太多，Chicago的城市规模大些。有国际机场，国内飞过来不用转机。费城治安稍微差些。应该说没有什么很大的区别，气候应该也差不多。还是多从学校的角度考虑吧。

费城去纽约方便一些，一个bus就过去了。但是本土的大公司寥寥。城市环境不错。coffee shop, restaurant, fashion shop 都应有尽有。生活方面似乎挺方便的。
芝加哥飞纽约要两三个小时，比较折腾。但是本地有很多校友，也有很多大公司的office。
哪个学校给offer都欢欢喜喜的去了。没什么可挑剔的。

I've been to both cities.
Chicago Pros:
Corporate headquarter of many companies.
Home of futures and options trading.
Home of some regional banking offices and municipal bond underwriting
The midtown shopping area is very nice.
Housing is affordable.
Deep Dish pizza and hot dog.
Chicago Cons:
Snows 5 months a year. It's EXTREMELY windy and cold (think Harbin)
University of Chicago area (south Chicago) has nothing to cheer for, it is dangerous and run down.
It is almost 3 hours to NYC by flight.
Sales tax is over 10%.
Phily Pros:
Phily Cheesesteak
Nice downtown area. Lots of nice restaurants.
2h (~$12) bus ride to Washington DC.
2h (~$12) bus ride or 1.5h train ride to NYC.
Chinatown food is better than Chicago's
Housing is affordable.
Weather is bearable, especially compared to northern China (i.e. Beijing).
Lower sales tax than Chicago.
Phily Cons:
Penn is near (or pretty much within) an extremely dangerous area. The nearby Camden is the top 3 dangerous city in the country.
Eagles fans.
